Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas from my computer to yours. These are the last of the cookies I did for Christmas. The basket was done for my son's girlfriends family. I also made some of the same for my daughters boyfriends family. I've made so many cookies this christmas, I'm kinda glad its over. lol. Christmas needs to last longer than just a day. So much work for only a little bit of time. Well, I hope you all had a great day.

New cookies
These are new Christmas cookies that I made this week. The christmas trees are sugar cookies with regular icing. I made the ones on the left for my husbands poker buddies. Not sure if you can tell, but the jimmies are the heart, diamond, spade, and club. They were fun to do, but took a while. Trying to line them up to look like garland really took a while.

Snowflake cookies
I did these cookies for my hairdresser. She always does a great job with my hair, so I thought I would give her a little something special. She even said they were all talking about wanting some cookies today.

Halloween cookies
Seems like I do more cookies than cupcakes anymore. These are some Halloween cookies that I made. The new 3D cookie cutters from Wilton are really cute. I have the Halloween ones and the teddy bear. I can't wait to see what they do for Christmas.

Apples and Pumpkins
These are some more sugar cookies I recently finished. What's better for fall than apples and pumpkins? I love fall. It's my favorite season.

Fun,fun,fun
Here’s a chance for a little interactivity for all the bloggers out there. Below is a list of 100 things that I think every good omnivore should have tried at least once in their life. The list includes fine food, strange food, everyday food and even some pretty bad food - but a good omnivore should really try it all. Don’t worry if you haven’t, mind you; neither have I, though I’ll be sure to work on it. Don’t worry if you don’t recognise everything in the hundred, either; Wikipedia has the answers.

Raspberry lemonade cupcakes
These cupcakes are the best. I added a couple packets of Crystal Light Raspberry Lemonade travel packets to the water that I added to a white cake mix. I saw this on 'How to eat a cupcake' blog. She made hers from scratch, but I used a mix. They are really good. I also added 1 packet of the Raspberry Lemonade mix to the water in some buttercream icing. You can smell the raspberry before you even taste it. These are highly recommended.

Steeler cookies
I did some Steeler cookies for a friend of ours today. His bd is tomorrow, and he is a true Steeler fan, so I thought these were appropiate. I used Satin Ice fondant on them. It is very smooth when rolled out. and the taste is good.

Sur La Table
Hi everyone,
This is my favorite store. They have so many great things for cupcakes. This is one of there ads. Doesn't just looking at it make you want to make cupcakes. The nearest one for me is at Southside in Pittsburgh. The 4th of July cupcake in the previous post was made with the Wilton Big Cupcake pan. I'm going to try one of these with ice cream as the top instead of cake.

Happy 4th of July
Hope you have a great 4th of July. It's really dreary here. No sunshine. Just rain. lol. This is a cake I did for today. Hopefully we will be able to have the picnic outside.

New cupcakes
I made these cupcakes today. I saw ones like them on the bakerella blog page. She has such cute ideas. They are lemon cupcakes with lemon curd filling. She put bathing suits on her bears, but I didn't have time to do that too. Maybe next time.
Marshmallow fondant cookies
These cookies are 'iced' with marshmallow fondant. It is my first attempt at fondant. It's not an easy thing to work with. I have seen it done on tv a million times. They make it look really easy. I guess it will take some practice. I'm going to take some to work tomorrow and see how my 'critics' feel about it. I may have to stick with the other icing I use.

Mothers Day cake and cookies
We are doing the 'Race for the Cure' tomorrow, so I thought I would make a cake and cookies for afterwards. (we're having a picnic) I can see now why bakeries do not used these kind of cake pans. Geesh........ Talk about a pain to frost. My icing was not co-operating with me, so I decided stars were the next best thing. I think it turned out pretty well.
The cookies are chocolate covered oreo's. I've had this mold to do them for a while, so I finally put it to use.
Hope you all have a nice Mother's Day.

Bug cake
This is a cake I did for my hubby's bd. I have always wanted a yellow vw bug and this is just a hint for him. Very subtle, huh? The cake is strawberry/banana and the icing is marshmallow flavored buttercreme.

Flowerpot cupcakes
These are done with the Wilton flower cupcake pan. It's a new one. They can be used for almost any holiday. The cake is a funfetti mix with banana pudding added. The icing is buttercreme with marshmallow flavor. These are great if you don't like alot of icing.

Soccer Cake
My son's 24th birthday is on Saturday, so this is his cake. He is a great soccer player and fan. It is done with the Wilton ball pan. I'm not sure if I like the pan. It's hard to know where to put the color areas since there are no marks on the cake. I should have gotten the half soccer ball pan. At least it has the grooves. But, this will have to do.
